FAQ
I. Why do you call yourself A Visual Anthropologist?
I have my brand name as A Visual Anthropologist because of my years of formal education in how to ethically & beautifully photograph stories. My bachelor's degree is titled Religious Studies through Photo-Visual Anthropology and I have been able to take a wide range of courses to master my art. Some of these classes have included Physics of the Visual Arts, Lighting for Studio & On-Location Photography, Photo-Visual Communications, and even Cookbook & Food photography.
I am invested in learning each Love story that I capture.
My experience as a visual anthropologist is what differentiates me as your photographer.
II. How will we get our photos after the shoot?
Within two weeks of our shoot together, you will receive a full digital gallery of your best images with slight touch ups and edits. I do not photoshop body parts or shapes, but love to adjust lighting and color to perfect your product. Once you receive your photos, I recommend viewing them on a large screen with loved ones and taking your time to enjoy each one. You will have full sharing rights and will have an option for print or other add ons.
III. We want to include our pet in our shoot. Is that okay?
YES!
IV. Will you help us find a location if we do not know the area well?
Absolutely- I have a number of locations that I can recommend on O'ahu and elsewhere to fit on your vision and story.
V. This will be our first photoshoot and we are nervous. Will you help us prepare?
100%. Once you have your session booked, I will help you through each step to make sure you are comfortable and know what to expect. I can offer style guidance, posing, and recommendations for locations to make sure you walk into your shoot feeling confident and excited.
